Fargo (ND) A seven-game unbeaten streak (6-0-1) is on the line for the Fargo-Moorhead Jets on Friday night when they face their arch-rivals the Bismarck Bobcats at the Carlson Coliseum. Face-off is scheduled for 7:35pm in what is Bismarck's first visit to the Red River Valley since October 14th.
Sitting in first place in the North American Hockey League's Central Division, the FM Jets (24-9-2, 50pts) haven't lost in regulation since a devastating 12-1 setback to Alexandria on December 15th. Since that loss, the FM Jets have played some of their best hockey of the season, going on their second longest unbeaten streak of the season (The team won eight straight in October). Included in this recent unbeaten streak are four comeback wins, and three victories at Bismarck.
The FM Jets are 7-0 against Bismarck this year, including the three wins on the road during this unbeaten streak.
Bismarck (13-19-6, 32pts) has lost seven of their last eight, and are a franchise-record six-games below .500%. They sit in fourth place in the Central Division.
On Saturday, the FM Jets travel to Owatonna, MN for a match up with the second place Southern Minnesota Express. It'll be a rematch of last weekend's series that saw the FM Jets take two of three from Southern Minnesota to extend their division lead to eight.
