Noise to host tournament
August 15, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Knoxville Noise News Release
Knoxville, TN. The ABA Knoxville Noise, owned by Suki Sports Corporation, is hosting a tournament for professional and talent agent teams. The tournament will be held in Jackson, Tennessee on October 6th thru October 8th. The City of Jackson has demonstrated great support for basketball and the owners of the Noise believe the tournament will be a great event for the city. Noise co-owner Gavin Raiteri said, "The City of Jackson showed us great hospitality during our tryouts. We think the tournament is a good way for the Noise to reward their support by hosting the tournament there. Twelve of the best players from the Jackson tryouts will play as one of the tournament teams."
He added, "We have already received several commitments to play and many inquiries from teams concerning the tournament." If you are interested in having the opportunity to get a good pre-season workout for your team, commit early. The tournament is limited to 16 teams. Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
