Knoxville Noise News Release
Gavin Raiteri, CEO of the Knoxville Noise, is proud to announce that he has secured a summer job for another one of his 2006 signees. Kevin McDonald, a 6-8" forward, will play in the Mexican LNBP league until he returns to the Noise in October. Kevin will play for Santos de San Luis Potosi, the former 2004-2005 Champions of the LNBP. Previously, he played for the Kennesaw State Owls and was an important player for the team that won the NCAA Division II Championship in 2004.
As Suki Sports, the parent company of the Knoxville Noise, continues to grow, they hope to be a source of players for the LNBP and other professional basketball leagues. The Knoxville Noise and Joe Duran, a player scout of the LNBP, have been working together to try and place as many of the Noise players in the LNBP in order to increase their earning potential year round, and to return to the Noise in shape and ready to play when the season starts each year. It is the mission of the Knoxville Noise to put their players needs to the forefront of the team decisions. The Noise is building a family atmosphere with their team to minimize player turnover by securing their players summer league positions; thereby providing them the opportunity to play basketball year round.
The Knoxville Noise wish Kevin great success during his time with LNBP and are looking forward to his safe return to their team for the upcoming 2006-2007 ABA season.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
