No Foolin: Saints and Railroaders to Battle It out as Duck, Duck Gray Duck vs. Duck, Duck Goose on August 19

ST. PAUL, MN - It started as an April Fools joke when the St. Paul Saints announced they would play the 2017 season using 50 different names for their 50 home games. In a social media world where trolling is an art form, the Saints painted a Picasso. As minor league teams around the country rebranded their franchises with absurd names for the season, or even one game, the Saints did what they do best: had some fun. Saints fans, however, loved the names and insisted the team use one of the over-the-top Minnesota monikers during a game in 2017. The Saints listened.
On Saturday, August 19 the St. Paul Saints will change their name for one night to the St. Paul Duck, Duck Gray Ducks. Why change one name, however, when you can change two? The Cleburne Railroaders, the Saints opponent for the night, will have their name changed to the Cleburne Duck, Duck Goose. It may as well be a battle of Minnesota vs. the rest of the U.S. as once and for all a decision will be made on whether it's Gray Duck or Goose.
The Saints took to social media to decide the name for the night. The staff narrowed down the list of 50 names to five finalists and fans had the opportunity to vote on the Saints Facebook page from the following five names: St. Paul Duck, Duck Gray Ducks, St. Paul Holy Buckets, Minnesota Nice, St. Paul Gutteral Uff Da's and Minnesota Cabin Goers. In a landslide, with more than 1,000 "likes," St. Paul Duck, Duck Gray Ducks outdistanced itself from the other four. Per a fans suggestion the Saints decided to ask the Railroaders if they would change their name to the "Duck, Duck Goose" for a night and a one game rivalry was born. Following the game the two teams will battle it out in an actual game of Duck, Duck Gray Duck (this is Minnesota, so Duck, Duck Goose will not be allowed).
During the August 19 game both teams uniforms will be auctioned off. In addition, fans can purchase t-shirts at the souvenir shop of the five finalists, plus the Duck, Duck Goose team name.
Saints tickets continue to be a tremendous value. Tickets begin at $5 for the Treasure Island berm seating (available only on day of game in person at the box office), $6 for bleacher seats, $14 for outfield reserved, $16 for the drink rail and $18 for infield reserved and home plate reserved. Friday Home Games with Post-Game Fireworks are an additional $2 per ticket. Post-Game Fireworks Supershows (May 28, July 2 and August 31) are an additional $3 per ticket. Tickets purchased on the day of the game are an additional $2 per ticket. Children under the age of 12 and seniors 65 and older receive $1 off the admission price. Children under 2 that don't require a seat are free.
On game days, the Box Office will open at 9 a.m., Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. Saturday and 12:00 p.m. on Sunday and will remain open until 15 minutes following each game. Tickets are always available at saintsbaseball.com.
