"Up front we have been looking for some goal scoring and I am counting on Leo to be one of the guys to help fill that void," said Ruskowski. "He has very good hands, great speed, and likes to hit. All the aspects I like in the game he brings to our team. He is a quality player."

Thomas, a native of Toronto, Ontario, is entering his fourth pro season. In three seasons with Flint he registered 64 goals in 192 games.

"I know the Bucks are a winning team and organization," said Thomas. "The last three years we weren't winning in Flint and I wanted to come to a winning team."

He is the younger brother of Oklahoma City Blazers all-star defenseman Kahlil Thomas.

In 2002-03 Leo played with the Detroit Lightning in the CEHL and led the team with 84 points, helping them capture the CEHL title.

The Bucks open training camp on October 9th at the LEC. The regular season begins on October 21st at Corpus Christi. Laredo will have their home opener against Rio Grande Valley on October 28th at the LEC.
