SteelHounds face off versus Dayton in Exhibition Game on Friday, October 13th at Chevy Centre

YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO - The Youngstown SteelHounds and General Manager Joe Gregory announced today that the team's lone pre-season game this season will be played in the Chevrolet Centre on Friday, October 13th versus the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL. Game time for the first home pre-season game in SteelHounds history will be at 7:05 PM with tickets going on sale Wednesday, September 6th at 10:00 AM.

"We are excited about giving the great hockey fans of the Mahoning Valley a home pre-season game and especially pleased to be playing such a strong hockey organization in the Bombers," said Gregory. "We are planning on having a very competitive training camp and this game will be the culmination of a week's worth of hard work and many young players competing for jobs."

Training camp for the Hounds begins on Monday, October 9th at the Chevrolet Centre and will conclude on Sunday, October 15th with the Hounds choosing their 18-man roster.

Admission for the pre-season game versus Dayton is free to SteelHounds season ticket holders and mini-plan holders and all seats in the arena will be general admission. Tickets can be purchased by non-package holders for $5.00 and can be obtained at the Chevy Centre box office, at most Mahoning Valley Sparkle Markets, at Clear Channel located in Boardman on South Ave., on-line at www.gettix.net and via the telephone at 330-747-PUCK or 866-4-GETTIX.

Last season, the Hounds ventured into the ECHL for their franchise first pre-season game and came away with a 6-4 victory over the Toledo Storm in the Toledo Sports Arena.
