The National Lacrosse League has announced the winners of the weekly player awards for Week 7 of the 2012 season.

For the second straight week, Philadelphia Wings forward Dan Dawson is the league's Offensive Player of the Week. Wings forward Kevin Crowley wins Rookie of the Week honors. Rochester Knighthawks defenseman Pat McCready wins Defensive Player of the Week, while Geoff Snider of the Calgary Roughnecks wins Transition Player of the Week.

Dawson recorded his second straight 10-point game with a hat trick and seven assists to lift Philadelphia over Toronto 14-8 last Saturday at Air Canada Centre. The win gave the Wings sole possession of first place in the East Division with a 4-2 record.

Dawson, who had a goal and nine assists in a win over Buffalo on Feb. 12, is the first player with two straight 10-point games since Tracey Kelusky in November 2001. The NLL leader with 34 assists this season, Dawson will be an assistant captain for the East in Saturday's All-Star game at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo.

McCready, also an assistant captain for the East team, is the Defensive Player of the Week. He picked up seven loose balls and chipped in with three goals and an assist for Rochester in Saturday's 15-12 win over Washington.

Snider won Transition Player of the Week after figuring quite prominently for Calgary in its 12-8 win over Edmonton on Saturday in this year's first meeting of the rivalry known as The Battle of Alberta. He collected 20 loose balls, won 18 of 23 face-offs and contributed a goal and two assists.

Crowley is Rookie of the Week for the second time this year. The top overall pick in the 2011 NLL Entry Draft scored three goals and drew five assists for the Wings in their win over the Rock. Crowley leads all rookies with 17 goals. The weekly player award winners are selected by a vote of the league's general managers and head coaches.
