NLL Champion's Cup Playoffs Update

The Colorado Mammoth (13-3, best overall record in the league this season) will be the top seeded team for the playoffs and will receive home field advantage throughout the playoffs. The Toronto Rock (10-5), Champions of the East Division, are the second seeded club and will receive home field advantage vs. any opponent except Colorado.

The remaining playoff clubs shall be seeded based on their final regular season records. The San Jose Stealth (10-5, #2 seed in the West) will finish as the third overall seed followed by the Calgary Roughnecks (9-6, #3 seed in the West) as the fourth overall seed. San Jose wins the tie-breaker over Calgary if both teams finish 10-6, by virture of winning the season series against Calgary 2-1. The Buffalo Bandits and Rochester Knighthawks shall finish as the fifth and sixth overall seeds depending upon the outcome of the Rochester–Toronto game this Friday. A Rochester win will give the Knighthawks the fifth overall seed. A Toronto win will give the fifth seed to Buffalo.

In summary, the West division first round game will be Calgary at San Jose. The winner will play at Colorado the following weekend. The East Division first round game will be at Buffalo vs. Rochester at the venue of the higher seeded team. The winner will play at Toronto in the semi-final. The Championship game will be between the winners of the semifinal games at the higher-seeded team's venue.

*denotes team has one regular season game remaining. The seedings of San Jose and Calgary will not change regardless of final regular season game outcome.

Entering the final weekend of regular season action, the league has determined the following with respect to the playoffs:

WEST DIVISION

COLORADO (13-3)

Clinched the West Division Title, a first round bye, and home floor throughout the playoffs. Colorado will host the winner of the Calgary at San Jose first-round playoff game on the weekend of April 23-25.

SAN JOSE (10-5)

Clinched playoff berth. The Stealth will host Calgary in a first-round playoff game on the weekend of April 16-18.

CALGARY (9-6)

Clinched playoff berth. Calgary will meet the San Jose in a first-round playoff game at HP Pavilion on the weekend of April 16-18.

EAST DIVISION

TORONTO (10-5)

Clinched the East Division Title and a first round bye. Toronto will host the winner of the Buffalo vs. Rochester first round playoff game on the weekend of April 23-25.

BUFFALO (8-8)

Clinched playoff berth. The Bandits will meet Rochester in a first-round playoff game on the weekend of April 16-18. Buffalo can earn home field advantage for the first round of the playoffs if Toronto defeats Rochester in Week #16.

ROCHESTER (7-8)

Clinched playoff berth. The Knighthawks will meet Buffalo in a first-round playoff game on the weekend of April 16-18. Rochester can earn home field advantage for the first round by winning their final game of the regular season at Toronto in Week #16.
