Nighthawks seek players

Upper Marlboro, MD. The ABA Maryland Nighthawks are looking for talented players for their June 19th tryout. The Nighthawks are looking to continue the winning tradition set in its' first season of play. "The way you win championships is finding the best talent to compliment your current roster," stated owner Tom Doyle. "The Washington DC metro area is one of the most talent rich basketball areas in the world and we are trying to use that to our advantage."

The tryout camp will be held at the Maryland Soccer Plex, 18031 Central Park Circle, Boyds, MD 20841. the tryout will begin promptly at 10am on Sunday, June 19th with walk-up registration starting at 9am. The cost is $100 for a pre-registered player. As space in the camp is limited, pre-registration is preferred and recommended to guarantee your spot. The cost for walk-up registration is $125 the day of the tryout. All money orders or cashier's checks should be made payable to Maryland Nighthawks and sent to 101 North Adams Street, Rockville, MD 20850.

The Nighthawks have also been staying busy this summer by creating the Streetball Legends "Believe to Achieve Tour." The tour features Maryland Nighthawk, ABA All Star Randy "White Chocolate" Gill and other streetball legends. The tour has been a huge success in its early stages and is really starting to heat up with dates in: South Lakes High School, Reston VA, June 10th...the Canton Civic Center, Canton OH June 23rd...and Greensboro NC on July 1st.
