The Norfolk Nighthawks are pleased to announce a multi-faceted deal with the Radisson Hotel Norfolk for the 2003 season. The deal is the first of its kind for the Nighthawks who have struggled in the past to obtain affordable housing in this market for players, visiting teams and game officials.
The Radisson Hotel Norfolk will house several Nighthawks players, visiting teams and game officials for the entire 2003 season. The Radisson Hotel Norfolk will be accorded "The Official Hotel of the Norfolk Nighthawks" status and the partnership deal will include game tickets, marketing, P.A. announcements and arena signage.
The Radisson Hotel Norfolk is located directly across the street from Scope Arena, which is ideal for visiting teams and officials access to the arena. "For three years we have struggled to assist our players, visiting teams and game officials with affordable housing in this market," said Nighthawks GM Ken Easley Jr. "We have also loss a number of quality players to other teams over the years because of this single issue. With this new deal, we now have the ability to retain the types of players that can help us win and assure visiting teams and game officials a market rate compatible with other arena markets.
