Windsor Spitfires News Release
(Windsor) Defenceman Nick Ebert is our Tecumseh and South Walkerville Vision Centres Player of the Week for the period ended Sunday, February 26th.
Ebert had a pair of goals and a +1 rating in Sunday's 8-6 win over Sudbury, while playing big minutes on the blueline and a very solid, two-way game.
"I feel like the bounces are starting to go my way," Ebert told windsorspitfires.com. "I've struggled a bit this year with consistency. But the second half of the season, I've been pretty happy with my play."
For the season, Ebert now has six goals and 34 points along with 54 penalty minutes. His 28 assists are tied for second on the club with Kerby Rychel.
Ebert, 17, is eligible for the upcoming 2012 NHL Entry Draft in Pittsburgh.
