
NFL Europe All-Pro joins Predators

ORLANDO, Fla. (Dec. 18, 2006) -Defensive back RAYSHUN REED, who earned All-NFL Europe honors last season with the Hamburg Sea Devils, has agreed to a one-year contract with the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League.
Reed was selected in the second round of the NFL-Europe Free Agent Draft by Hamburg in 2006. He went on to play in 10 games, making 34 tackles with two quarterback sacks, nine pass defenses, three forced fumbles and three interceptions. His standout season earned Rayshun a spot on the first unit of the All NFL-Europe team.
Reed began his professional career with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2004. He would make the 49ers roster out of training camp and would make six tackles in seven games in a reserve role. He went to camp with the New York Jets in 2006.
A native of Columbus, Ga., Reed played college football at Troy State where he started 31 of 43 games in his career. He finished with 192 career tackles and 11 interceptions. He also returned 44 punts for 332 yards. Reed was a two-time, first team All-Independent selection by College Football News.
"Rayshun is a quick, aggressive back with some good ball skills," Predators Player Personnel Director Les Moss said. "He has a chance to be an outstanding player in the Arena Football League."
