Kats, Together with Salvation Army, Spread Holiday Cheer
December 18, 2006 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I)
Nashville Kats News Release
The Nashville Kats and Salvation Army Nashville teamed up to bring holiday to cheer to needy Nashvillians this past weekend. Kats players and staff assisted in the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program where individuals and corporations adopt less fortunate children, seniors and disabled adults and provide personalized gifts and necessities to those who otherwise receive very little or nothing during the holiday season. Kats players were also on-hand signing official Arena League Footballs to be auctioned off to benefit Salvation Army Nashville and all of its efforts to make the holidays special.
"Anything we can do to help, to bring a smile to someone's face, the Nashville Kats are all for," said Kats Assistant General Manager Darryl Hammond. Quarterback Clint Stoerner added, "Helping out people less fortunate is something that the community has to do and I am happy that the Salvation Army was gracious enough to let us come out and help."
