Indiana Blast News Release
INDIANAPOLIS- Having only been in the United States for 24 hours, newly aquired Moussa Dagnogo scored in the 89th minute to lift the Blast (4-12-1, pts 17) over the visiting El Paso Patriots (5-6-6, 29 pts) by a score of 1-0 in front of a crowd of 3,467. The win was the perfect conclusion to the successful 4th annual Mid-Summer Magic tournament that took place over the weekend at Kuntz Stadium.
Dagnogo, who arrived from France Saturday night, was pleased with the way things went in his first ever Blast game. "Well, it's a great feeling to be in France this morning, ride in a plane for 10 hours and then score the game winner tonight. It was a pretty good day for me," said the smiling Dagnogo.
The Blast are still in playoff contention with the win. The win also gives rookie goalkeeper Mark Spears his first professional win and shut-out.
