
Newest RiverHawk Dunstall Named SBK Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE, NC (February 1, 2011) - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced Travis Dunstall of the Augusta RiverHawks is the SBK Player of the Week for January 24-30.
Dunstall, who just signed with Augusta on January 18, scored four goals, two of them game-winners, and added three assists as the RiverHawks went 3-0 on the road and moved to within six points of first place.
On Tuesday, the Onoway, Ontario native notched his first game-winning goal of the week, scoring 3:47 into overtime to give Augusta a 3-2 win over Columbus. Dunstall made it back-to-back game-winners on Friday, scoring with just 1:55 left in regulation as the RiverHawks rallied from deficits of 3-1 and 4-3 to defeat Mississippi 5-4. In addition to scoring the game-winner, Dunstall assisted on two other goals, including the tying goal with just over four minutes to play. Dunstall closed out his stellar week with a two goal, one assist performance in Augusta's 7-5 win over Louisiana on Saturday.
After five seasons in the Western Hockey League with Medicine Hat and Kamloops, Dunstall recorded 42 goals, 40 assists and 185 penalty minutes with the Grande Prairie Storm of the Alberta Junior Hockey League last season. Since joining the RiverHawks, Dunstall has eight points (5g, 3a) in only five games and is currently riding a four-game goal-scoring streak.
