New York City Football Club Audi MLS Cup Playoffs First Round Match Moved to Citi FieldÃâÃÂ
October 12, 2022 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
New York City FC News Release
Following the conclusion of the MLB National League Wild Card series this past weekend, New York City Football Club (NYCFC) can today confirm that its Audi MLS Cup Playoffs First Round Match against Inter Miami CF, presented by Socios.com, will be moved to Citi Field.
Previously, Citi Field was not available for this match due to the Mets' involvement in the MLB Playoffs and planned construction work that was set to begin at Citi Field at the conclusion of the Mets' season. However, following the results of the National League Wild Card series, the Mets have agreed to delay this planned construction work until after our first-round match.
The Club will always do everything in its power to play its matches within the five boroughs and is grateful to our partners at the Mets for helping make this venue change a possibility.
NYCFC will host sixth-seed Inter Miami on Monday, October 17 at Citi Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00pm ET, with coverage on FS1 and Fox Deportes.
