New Orleans VooDoo defeats Detroit Fury 45-31

The New Orleans VooDoo jumped out to a 28-10 lead in the first half, making a pair of key stops on Detroit's first two possessions as well, resulting in a 45-31 victory over the Detroit Fury in the New Orleans Arena before a record crowd of 15,303.

VooDoo QB John Fitzgerald connected with OS Aaron Bailey for three touchdowns to lead New Orleans offensively, helping them improve their record to 5-1 and remain undefeated at home.

Fitzgerald finished 22-of -31 for 251 yards with 5 touchdown passes for the VooDoo. Detroit QB Andy Kelly finished 24-of-40 for 312 yards and 3 touchdown passes. Bailey finished the game with five receptions for 59 yards and three touchdowns. Detroit WR/LB Jeff Russell finished with 10 receptions for 123 yards.
