Laredo Bucks News Release

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Entertainment Center today announced it is joining the long list of fast food restaurants offering value "dollar items" for their customers. The "One Buck Menu" items will be available starting this Friday night at the Laredo Bucks' first home hockey game of the season.

Five items will be available at two LEC concession stands costing only $1.00, a regular hot dog, small chips, five piece chicken nuggets, a beef & bean burrito, and a small popcorn. The items will be available during all LEC events in the two main concession stands that face the concourse.

"We are very excited to roll out this new value menu for the citizens of both Laredos that attend our events," said Roy Medina, the interim General Manager of the LEC. "We know that with the high price of gasoline and other economic strains, the dollar items will go a long way to help our customers, especially families, have a great time at LEC events and stay within their budgets."

The LEC would also like to announce that a new restaurant is joining the concession line up. Chik-fil-A will be located at concession stand number three, across from the LEC Star Bar and concession stand number six, across from meeting room number five. Another LEC vendor, Papa John's Pizza, is also located at those two concession stands.

Other restaurants and items available at the LEC concession stands include: Mr. Corn, Teocali, Maui Wawi, Cups & Cones, Nutty Bavarian, and Taco Palenque. The LEC also operates its own concession stands, which sell the following items year round: Igloo frozen drinks, margaritas, strawberry daiquiris, mango drinks, piña coladas, blue Hawaiians, hot dogs or chili cheese hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken tender baskets, hot chocolate, coffee, French fries, popcorn, nachos, and the buffalo wing basket.

The LEC has also added a concession area dedicated to margaritas, since they are popular with the patrons.

"Our goal is to offer the public the items they want and to make entertainment affordable for everyone in the community," added Medina.

The Bucks open the 2008-09 season at the LEC on October 17th against the Rocky Mountain Rage.

Season ticket prices stayed the same as they were last season, starting at just $34 a month (including playoffs). Call 718-BUCK (2825), or visit the LEC to speak to a Bucks ticket representative.
