New Jersey Storm News Release

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – The New Jersey Storm professional indoor lacrosse team tonight announced a blockbuster three-player, two-pick trade with the Buffalo Bandits sending forward Kerry Susheski and defenseman Jordan Guindon north in exchange for perennial National Lacrosse League All-Star Roy Colsey. The Storm will also swap their first round pick (#5 overall) of the 2003 Entry Draft in return for the Bandits’ second round pick (#16 overall).

Colsey joins the Storm after spending a partial year with the Bandits. Before his stint with Buffalo, the Yorktown, NY native was a member of the New York Saints, where he led the NLL in goals scored in 2001 and was named to the All-Pro First Team. Colsey, widely regarded as one of the best players in the sport, finished fifth in the NLL in 2002 in goals scored. Prior to beginning his professional career, Colsey was part of an NCAA championship team as a three-time All-American at Syracuse University.

Susheski (11 goals, 2 assists, 13 points) and Guindon (2 goals, 3 assists, 5 points) head to Buffalo after completing their rookie seasons in the National Lacrosse League with the Storm. Susheski also led the Storm last year with 52 penalty minutes.

New Jersey finished their inaugural season strongly winning four of their last six games. The Storm is one of 13 franchises in the 16-year old National Lacrosse League. The 2002-2003 NLL season commences the weekend of December 27.
