New Jersey Ironmen News Release
GAME PREVIEW: Milwaukee Wave 11-3-07
The New Jersey Ironmen hit the road for the second consecutive week after achieving their first win in club history last Saturday when they defeated the Orlando Sharks, 7-4. Forward/ midfielder Shaun David led the scoring with a two-point and three-point goal, good enough for him to be named Big Apple Soccer.com's Player of the Week. Goalkeeper Tony Meola played well in goal and received MISL Goalkeeper of the Week accolades.
This week the Ironmen will play one of the most storied teams in MISL history, the Milwaukee Wave. The Wave faced a stout Baltimore Blast ream last weekend, coming up on the short-end of a 13-8 contest. The Ironmen hope to take another step in the right direction this week, hoping that their offensive attack from the first half of last week (7 points) will again reach that type of intensity.
