New GM takes reigns of Stampede Express

October 3, 2005 - Intense Football League (Intense) - San Angelo Stampede Express News Release

The Stampede Express' 3rd season of indoor football continues it's new and improved trend. In addition to a new name, some new players, new assistant coaches, new offices, and even new seating in the Coliseum, the Stampede Express welcomes the return of a familiar face to the front office. The San Angelo Stampede Express are proud to announce the return home of the new General Manager Bridget Jones.

Ms. Jones is no stranger to San Angelo. She is the daughter of Stampede Express co-owner Darlene Jones and a 1993 graduate of Water Valley High School. As a youngster Ms. Jones was a Rodeo Ambassador, as well as, Miss West Texas Rodeo and a runner-up for Miss Rodeo Texas. Her education continued at Angelo State University where she graduated with a degree in Communications and Agriculture in 1998. She has also appeared in numerous commercials for Bug Express.

"Bridget's greatest asset will be the experience in marketing and management she can bring to our organization," says Stampede Express co-owner Darlene Jones. After college, Ms. Jones worked for the Midwest Family Broadcasting radio group in Springfield, Illinois. She later went on to become the Sales Manager at Springfield Racquet and Fitness, where she handled public relations and marketing in addition to her duties as the company spokesperson. She will be joining the team after relocating from Las Vegas, Nevada where she was a Floor Supervisor for Harrah's Entertainment.

Ms. Jones is no stranger to the sports world either. She was an athlete in high school and played volleyball at Angelo State University. In between her time in Illinois and Nevada, she returned to school to acquire a teaching certificate. Ms. Jones then went on to New Mexico where she coached volleyball, basketball, and track in addition to her teaching duties.

The Stampede Express will begin their 3rd season in the spring of 2006, with 7 action packed games at the San Angelo Coliseum. Season tickets are currently available by calling 947-DOWN (3696). Box seats are available for $100 each until Halloween. Stampede Express Football... Get in the Game!
