Casper Ghosts News Release
Today the Casper Rockies announce their front office staff. The front office will consist of Seth Mathews, Matt Warneke, Matti Tahja and Tina Nations.
"I'm very excited about the talent and enthusiasm of our new front office, and I'm confident that the community of Casper will see the results of these attributes even before the first pitch is thrown this year," said Kevin Haughian, CEO of the Casper Rockies.
Seth Mathews enters his third year with the Rockies, and will be taking a larger role in 2007. "When I started with the team all I wanted to do was be a part of something that would create fun for everyone in the community," said Mathews. Through the past few years Mathews has paid his dues and has developed a keen sense for the business. He will serve as Director of Operations for the Rockies in 2007. Seth graduated from Concordia University in Portland, Oregon with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Marketing.
Where there was a great opportunity Matt Warneke was sure to find it. Matt has spent the past few years with the NBA league office, the Portland Trail Blazers and the Phoenix Coyotes; but his dream was to always to be in a market where he could be close to the fans and provide the best entertainment for the dollar. "I have always wanted to be in a place where I could get to know the fans and be a major part of the community," said Warneke. "I spend a lot my day's thinking of new ways to provide a great atmosphere for our fans." During the 2007 season Warneke will be taking the lead as the Director of Sales and Marketing (and Fun) while putting together promotions to make everyone's experience that much better. Matt graduated from Concordia University in Portland, Oregon with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Marketing.
Taking over as Director of Ticket Operations this upcoming year will be Matti Tahja. During the 2006 season Tahja spent his time in Tennessee interning in all aspects of the business with the Tennessee Smokies of the Southern League. "I'm looking forward to getting to know the people of Casper and providing the best service possible," said Tahja. Matti graduated form Chico State University with a degree in Communication Design. He will oversee all facets of the ticket department with an emphasis on group sales.
Tina Nations will be coming on board with the Rockies as the Office Manager and bookkeeper. She will play a major role in making sure the business runs smoothly. "We are excited to add Tina to our staff, as she will bring a lot of experience to our organization," said Haughian. Tina's experience from past endeavors will be a great asset to the Rockies.
The 2007 season looks to be another year for the record books. With all of their new talent the Rockies will continue to make Mike Lansing Field the best entertainment in town.
