New Coaches Sign Six New Players

San Angelo Stampede Express News Release


The San Angelo Stampede Express of the Intense Football League is gearing up for the 2007 season. After announcing the new coaching team, the team's attention now turns to the next step of the off-season, building the team. The Stampede Express is proud to announce the signing of 2 more players for the 2007 season.

The Stampede Express sign 6'3" 180 pound Wide Receiver Andrew Turner. "Turner has 4.5 speed, with great hands, runs great routes and has a body like Terrill Owens, without the attitude," explains Assistant Coach Patterson.

Terrence Blaine will be boarding the Express Train from Texas A&M Kingsville where he received All Lone Star Conference honors. Terrence is 6'2" 235 Linebacker/Defensive End with 4.6 speed. Also boarding the train will be speedsters Mike Williams a 6'2" 215 pound wide receiver from Howard Payne University and 5'10" 180 pounder Eric Waddy from Reedley College. "Both of these guys should thrill the crowd on every reception with their 4.3 speed and great hands," states co-owner Darlene Jones.

Stampede Express also signed a big, strong, aggressive, hard-hitting Linebacker in George Henley from Nichols State University. George is 6' weighs in at 220 and has a speed of 4.7. Another signee for the Express vying for a position is Victor Parker 6' 220 pound wide receiver. "Parker is a powerful athlete who can play anywhere on the field," exclaims Patterson.

"Be sure to keep looking because the talent just keeps getting better. I can't think of any better place to showcase that talent than the San Angelo Coliseum on Saturday nights," says co-owner Darlene Jones.

The Stampede Express will begin their 4th season, with the first home game being April 28th against Frisco at the San Angelo Coliseum.
