Neil Graham Returns to the RiverHawks

The Augusta RiverHawks announce that forward Neil Graham has signed with the club. Graham will make his return to the RiverHawks' line-up this week when they play the Knoxville Ice Bears on Friday.

"Neil is a real character player and leads by example", said RiverHawks' Head Coach Brad Ralph. "He adds a tremendous amount of depth to our lineup and will be playing a lot of minutes at both ends of the ice. We are very fortunate to be adding such a strong player to our team."

Graham was a core member of the 2010-11 edition of the RiverHawks that made it all the way to the Southern Professional Hockey League Finals as a first-year team. Graham was one of the assistant captains of the team. He was named to the 2010-11 SPHL All-Rookie Team.

While making contributions in every zone of the ice, Graham established himself as one of the premier offensive players in the SPHL in his first year with the RiverHawks. During the 2010-11 season Graham scored 24 goals and added 30 assists for 54 points in 49 games, good for 13th in league scoring despite missing seven contests.

The 5-foot-10, 185-pound winger continued his strong play into the playoffs for the RiverHawks. He was one of the team's leaders on the RiverHawks' run to the Finals, scoring three goals and adding four assists.

During his first professional season Graham also played in 10 games in the East Coast Hockey League, splitting time between the South Carolina Stingrays and the Greenville Road Warriors. Prior to turning pro Graham played his four-year collegiate career at Mercyhurst College.

The RiverHawks are off until next Friday night when they face the Knoxville Ice Bears in Knoxville, TN in a matchup of the two top teams in the SPHL thus far. The puck drops at 7:35pm. Fans in Augusta can catch the games at the Official Live Watch Party at Somewhere in Augusta at 2820 Washington Rd. and enjoy a burger and beer for just $10.

The RiverHawks are back in action on Phoenix Refrigeration Ice at the James Brown Arena Friday, November 25th as they play the Pensacola Ice Flyers. The puck drops at 7:35pm.
