Touhey hit .556 with three doubles, a triple, 7 RBI, 5 steals and a .636 OBP for the week. He had two doubles, two steals and three RBI in Mystic's 6/29 win over Danbury. He had consecutive multi-hit games with an RBI and a steal in a June 23rd loss to North Adams and a June 25th loss to Ocean State

Kirby appeared in two games this week, posting a 0.00 ERA and striking out 12 in eight innings. He got the win on June 24th at Sanford with six shutout innings where he fanned 10 and allowed six base runners. He retired all but one batter in a shutout, two inning relief stint at Vermont on June 29th.

CF J.P. Sportman (Keene/Central Connecticut) - Hit .500 in three games (7-for-14) with three doubles and 3 RBI

C Christopher Travers (New Bedford/Roger Williams)- Hit .600 (9-for-15) with a double and 8 RBI. Had an OBP of .647 for the week

1B Nic Wilson (Sanford/Georgia State)- Hit .533 (8-for-15) with two doubles, a triple, a homer and 2 RBI. Had a .632 OBP for the week

RHP Brett Graves (Newport/Missouri)- Threw six shutout innings, striking out seven and allowing just five base runners in 6/24 win over Plymouth

RHP Joey Graziano (Vermont/St. John's)- Threw six shutout innings, striking out seven and facing four batters over the minimum in 6/27 win at Sanford

LHP James Mulry (Newport/Northeastern)- Threw seven shutout innings and fanned seven in getting the win June 23rd against Ocean State

LHP Joeanthony Rivera (North Adams/Barry)- Earned a win and save in three shutout appearances, fanning six in 4 innings

NECBL to Host Team Canada- The NECBL will proudly host the Canadian Junior National U-18 team as they prepare for the 18U World Cup in Taiwan this coming August. The Canadians will be stopping at Holyoke on July 6th, Danbury on July 7th and New Bedford on July 9th. First pitches are 6:35, 5:05 and 6:30 respectively. The Canadian National program has produced such notables as Larry Walker, Justin Morneau and Jason Bay

Alumni Notes- 2012 MVP OF Danny Collins (Laconia '12) was named Player of the Week for the New York Penn League. Collins had 4 homers and 8 RBI in his first seven games for Short Season A Jamestown (Pittsburgh)...2006 MVP 1B Jim Murphy was named Eastern League Player of the Week for Reading (Philadelphia). Murphy's splits are .301/.365/.501. He has hit .371 with 4 homers and 10 RBI in his last 10 games...The Cubs recalled OF Brian Bogusevic (Danbury '02) who was ranked seventh in the Pacific Coast League in OPS. He had two hits in his 6/26 first game. Bogusevic is the 38th alumnus to see Big League playing time in 2013...The Cleveland Indians recalled RHP Joe Martinez (Danbury '03) on 6/29. He got the win in relief against the White Sox that night. Martinez last played in the Majors on April 25, 2012
