Cape Breton finally ended their losing streak on Sunday with a 138-133 win over Sudbury. For the week, the 1-1 Highlanders were led in scoring with 33.0 ppg from Devin Sweetney, while three other Highlanders - Jamal Reynolds (22.5 ppg), Chris Johnson (22.0 ppg) and Landon Attebery (21.5 ppg) averaged better than 20 points per game apiece. Reynolds also finished the week with a 10.0 rebounds per game total.
Halifax Hurricanes

Of the NBL's six games played this week, the Hurricanes were involved in three - losing two and winning one. Mike Poole dominated the scoring for the Nova Scotia crew with 19.7 ppg, with Jordan Washington adding 18.3 ppg. Rhamel Brown continued to be the Hurricanes' top rebounder with 10.3 boards per game.

KW Titans

The Kitchener-Waterloo titans lost their one game this week, a 136-108 home defeat to the Halifax Hurricanes. Despite the loss, Justin Springs finished the night with 26 points and 12 rebounds, while Ed Horton added 22 points and 6 assists.
London Lightning

London's 100-99 win over the Halifax Hurricanes helped the Bolts continue their winning streak at 7 consecutive games. In the victory, Xavier Moon came off the bench to lead London with 21 points; Maurice Bolden led the starters with 18; Bolden also had three blocked shots in the win.
Moncton Magic

Their 104-100 win on March 6 against the Saint John Riptide helped the magic improve to a league-best 22-11, with the possibility of gaining home-court advantage throughout the postseason within their grasp. Marcus Lewis had the steady hand for the Magic, achieving 28 points in the victory, while Gentrey Thomas came off the bench to notch 21. Denzell Taylor cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
Saint John Riptide

The Riptide's 104-100 loss to Moncton pushed Saint John closer to the bottom of the standings, and the Port City crew is still in a dogfight with Cape Breton and Island for a playoff spot. The Edge took a 105-92 win Monday night over Cape Breton, and the Newfoundland and Labrador crew are this much closer to postseason play. Jared Nickens was the stop scorer for the Edge with 22 points, while Murphy Burnatowski garnered 19 points and 3 blocked shots.
Sudbury Five

Jaylen Bland made a strong return from the injured list for the Five, scoring 34 points - with 30 of them coming from beyond the arc - in a close loss for Sudbury 138-133 to Cape Breton on Sunday. Braylon Rayson and Maurice Jones Sr added 31 and 22, respectively, while Yohanny Dalembert led the Five in boards with 12 rebounds.
Windsor Express

In one of their biggest-scoring non-overtime games in team history, Windsor outgunned Halifax 147-124 to keep the Express' postseason hopes alive. Chris Jones and Ryan Anderson tallied 38 and 35 points, respectively - the first time in team history that two teammates scored 35 or more points in the same game. Juan Pattillo had 19 points and 11 rebounds in the win.

NBL CANADA PLAYER OF THE WEEK
The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Chris Jones of the Windsor Express has been named NBL Canada Player of the Week for the week ending March 10, 2019.
Jones, a 6'0" point guard who played collegiately at Louisville, scored a week-high 38 points for the Express in a 137-124 victory over Halifax. In the win, Jones was a perfect 13-for-13 from the free throw line, and averaged .600 (3-for-5) from 3- point range.

NBL CANADA CANADIAN PLAYER OF THE WEEK
The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Yohanny Dalembert of the Sudbury Five has been named NBL Canada Player of the Week for the week ending March 10, 2019.
Dalembert, a 6'8" forward who played collegiately at James Madison University, had the best numbers on defence for the week; he dominated on the glass with 12 rebounds, and blocked a week-high five shots.
