Despite the newly-acquired Terry Thomas, who led the Hurricanes in scoring with 26.0 ppg, the Hurricanes fell twice in 24 hours - an overtime loss Saturday night to Moncton, followed by a Sunday afternoon road defeat against the Storm. Jordan Washington (21.0 ppg) and Joel Kindred (15.5 ppg) also scored in double figures this week for the Bluenose crew. Thomas and Washington both averaged 7.5 boards this week.

Hey, remember when the Island Storm struggled in scoring and were at the bottom of the standings? Well, the Storm picked up two big wins this week, aided by Sampson Carter's team-high 21.0 ppg and 11.5 rpg; as well as 15.5 ppg by the newly- acquired Guillaume Boucard. Kareem Canty's 6.5 assists per game led his teammates.

Three tough losses - two in overtime - have the Lightning sliding down the NBL's standings. Despite the losses, seven different Bolts have averaged double-digit scoring for London, led with 17.0 ppg by Kirk Williams Jr and Maurice Bolden, along with 16.0 ppg for Xavier Moon and 15.3 ppg from AJ Gaines. Marvin Phillips shows no signs of slowing down, as he averaged 9.0 rebounds per game.
