NBDL daily developments

WAIT JUST A MINUTE: The Asheville Altitude denied Columbus a chance to clinch the regular season title by defeating the Riverdragons Wednesday at the Asheville Civic Center.

ANOTHER CHANCE: Columbus gets a second chance in as many days to nail down the regular season crown. A win over Fayetteville tonight at the Columbus Civic Center would do the trick.

LONG ODDS: A Fayetteville win at Columbus tonight would defy all statistical odds for Coach Mike Brown's Patriots, who are 3-20 on the road and 0-8 against Columbus this season.

WHAT HAPPENS IF? Should Fayetteville win at Columbus tonight and Roanoke win at Huntsville on Friday, then Saturday's game between the Riverdragons and the Dazzle will be for all the regular season marbles. A Dazzle win would leave both 28-20 with Roanoke winning the tiebreaker.

NBDL ALUMNI UPDATE...from Wednesday in the NBA
· 12 former D-Leaguers suited up in 10 NBA games.
· Cory Alexander (Roanoke) played 28 minutes, scoring 17 and dishing out 4 assists for the Bobcats.
· Chris Andersen (Fayetteville) grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked 7 shots for the Hornets.
· Anthony Johnson (Mobile) dished out 10 assists in 31 minutes for the Pacers.

TIEBREAKER: With a three-way logjam for second in the standings and the top two regular season finishers earning host spots in the 2005 NBDL Championship Tournament presented by Delta Air Lines, you may be asking what would untie the knot. The first tiebreaker is head to head competition, and at the moment Roanoke holds the advantage over both Huntsville and Asheville.
