IT'S A WINNER: Columbus assured itself of a winning season for the first time since the inaugural NBDL campaign by defeating Asheville on Wednesday. Roanoke will be trying to turn the trick for the second time as well on Saturday against Fayetteville. The Dazzle's only winning season was 2002-03 when they posted a 26-24 mark.

NBDL ALUMNI CHECK...from Wednesday's NBA games
· Bobby Simmons (Mobile) played 26 minutes and scored 16 for the Clippers.
· Rafer Alston (Mobile) played 38 minutes, scored 13, had 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the Raptors.
· Anthony Johnson (Mobile) played 30 minutes, scored 12, had 5 boards and 4 assists for the Pacers.

ALUMNI WRAP FROM WEDNESDAY: In all, 14 former NBDL players played in 11 NBA games on Wednesday. Four of them were starters and three logged at least 30 minutes.

COMPLETE GAME: Asheville features four of the top 16 scorers in the NBDL, but to prove they can do more than just put the ball in the hole; the Altitude also features three of the top eight assist men and three of the top eight steals leaders.

GOW: Today's NBDL Game of the Week show is centered on the March 5 Roanoke at Florida game. The show features Roanoke players Seth Doliboa and Garry Hill-Thomas, as well as Florida players Smush Parker, Kirk Haston and Hiram Fuller. Lakers scout Irving Thomas will also be a guest on the show.

TWIN: This Week in the NBDL, the league's weekly magazine-style show on NBA TV, also airs today at 9 p.m. ET. This week's edition features interviews with Asheville forward Ron Slay, Roanoke assistant coach Chucky Brown and Columbus assistant coach Dean Murray.
