NBDL QUOTE OF THE DAY: "You see him drive down the lane and dunk, you see him run the baseline and go reverse [jam] there. That's why when he went up [to the NBA] and he came right back, that's why I inserted him right back in the lineup. I'm not that crazy of a coach."...Florida coach Dennis Johnson told the Roanoke Times about Smush Parker.

SATURDAY'S OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
· Asheville F Terrence Shannon scored 18 and collected seven rebounds.
. Huntsville C Earl Barron scored 18 and grabbed 15 rebounds.
· Columbus F Scott Merritt hit 8-of-13 FGA and scored 17.
· Columbus G Ramel Curry connected on 7-of-12 FGA and also scored 17.
· Shooting guard David Young scored 21 for Fayetteville.

MAY DAY, MAY DAY! Huntsville's flight pattern continued in near free fall Saturday as the Flight lost for the eighth time in nine games, this time at home to Asheville.

STREAKS: Florida won three straight games for the first time this season at Roanoke on Saturday. Fayetteville's four-game win streak was snapped by Columbus.
