TWO TO TANGO: The hottest teams in the NBDL play tonight when Asheville visits Roanoke. The Dazzle has won five consecutive games and the Altitude is riding a four-game win streak.
FILING SUITT: Asheville center Cedric Suitt will be looking to pick up where he left off on Saturday when the Altitude visits Roanoke tonight. Suitt doubled his previous season high on Saturday by scoring 16 points and equaled his best rebounding effort with seven against Florida.
ALL-NBDL TO NBA: Five former first-team and one former honorable mention All-NBDL players are currently on NBA rosters. Former first-teamers include Tierre Brown (Lakers), Jason Collier (Hawks), Devin Brown (Spurs), Mikki Moore (Clippers) and Billy Thomas (Nets). Mateen Cleaves (Sonics) was an honorable mention choice last season.
QUOTE OF THE DAY: "SpongeBob is a big star, that's all they care about. Forget about asking who's wearing No.32? They just want to know where SpongeBob is, man."...Roanoke guard Matt Carroll told the Roanoke Times after dropping 32 points on Fayetteville Saturday night in a game that drew the season's largest crowd to the Roanoke Civic Center.
HOKIE BOB: "That doesn't surprise me. If it's a Hokie, then they need to put an outfit on!"...Dazzle guard and former University of Virginia star Cory Alexander told the Roanoke Times when informed that the person wearing the SpongeBob costume was in fact a Virginia Tech student.
FLYING LOW: After winning four straight, the Huntsville Flight has now lost four in a row to drop to 3½ games behind league-leading Roanoke and Columbus.
