NBDL daily developments

NBDL QUOTE OF THE DAY: "I think we were bedazzled tonight...the competition in this league is too good...you lay down and things like this happen," Roanoke Dazzle forward Terrence Shannon told the Roanoke Times after Huntsville put an 80-spot on Roanoke in the second half and came from 26 points down for a 125-116 win.

HANGING 80: Huntsville's 80 second-half points Saturday night is a new league record for points in a half. The previous record was 74, set by the Asheville Altitude, ironically against the Flight on December 10 of this season.

WELCOME BACK: The remainder of the league is slowly, but surely, welcoming the Columbus Riverdragons back to the pack. Suffering through a five-game losing skid, the Riverdragons have seen a comfortable lead in the standings dip to just one game over the defending champion Asheville Altitude.

WHY ASHEVILLE? Why is Coach Joey Meyer's club breathing down Columbus' neck for the top spot in the standings? An overtime victory at Columbus on Saturday was the Altitude's fourth consecutive win and fifth in its last six games.

SATURDAY'S TOP FIVE PERFORMANCES
· Asheville forward Ron Slay came off the bench to score 24 points and grab 12 rebounds.
· Asheville forward Leonard Stokes converted 7-of-10 FGA and scored 22 points.
· Columbus forward Scott Merritt scored 27 and had nine rebounds.
· Huntsville point guard Jason Miskiri scored 25 points and dished out 10 assists.
· Roanoke forward Isiah Victor scored 29 points and collected nine rebounds.
