SMUSH MAKES 43: The Phoenix Suns signed Florida Flame guard Smush Parker to a 10-day contract on Wednesday, making him the 43rd GATORADE Call-up since the NBDL began play in November 2001, the fifth this season and the fourth in 10 days.

ALUMNI CHECK: A pair of former NBDL players put together solid performances for their NBA teams on Wednesday. Former Fayetteville Patriot Jason Collier, now a starter for the Atlanta Hawks, converted 8-of-11 field goal attempts and scored 17 points in a loss to the Heat. James Thomas, who was leading the NBDL in rebounding when he signed a 10-day contract with Portland January 9, collected a game-high 15 rebounds for the Blazers against the Cavaliers. Thomas signed a second 10-day contract on Wednesday.

TWIN: "This Week in the NBDL", the D-League's weekly magazine-style show, airs tonight at 9 p.m. ET on NBA TV. This week's all-access feature is the MLK Showcase from the Player's Perspective. There will also be interviews with NBDL President Phil Evans and NBA Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations Stu Jackson. The show will re-air at 12:30 a.m. and again Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
SHOWCASE ON NBA TV: The Huntsville-Roanoke and Florida-Fayetteville games from the first day of the MLK Showcase will be shown on a tape-delayed basis starting today. Huntsville's 113-110 victory over Roanoke on January 16 is scheduled to be shown today at 3:30 p.m. ET. Fayetteville's 88-80 win over Florida, also from January 16, is scheduled to air Friday 3:30 p.m.
