MAKING A DIFFERENCE: Although the league is just beginning its fourth season, former NBDL players are already becoming difference makers for NBA teams. The Clippers' Bobby Simmons and Toronto guard Rafer Alston, two of 17 former D-Leaguers in the NBA, have both started all of their team's games this season. Simmons is averaging 36.6 minutes, 16.3 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. Alston is averaging 14.2 points and 6.8 assists per game.

TAKING A LOOK: NBA teams have already requested scouting credentials for 31 of the first 36 scheduled NBDL games this season. To this point, every NBDL game this year has been seen live by NBA scouts.

REACHING OUT: The Huntsville Flight is using the first two weeks of December to do some visiting. Flight players and staff will visit two elementary schools, a middle school and the Boys & Girls Club, as well as conduct two youth basketball clinics between today and Dec. 15.

NEW DRAGON: Columbus has acquired post player Obinna Ekezie and waived center Jason Lawson. A three-year NBA veteran, Ekezie was a second-round selection (37th overall) in the 1999 NBA Draft by the Vancouver Grizzlies. Ekezie has played in 101 NBA games for Vancouver, Washington, Dallas and the Los Angeles Clippers.
