NBDL Announces Allocations

GREENVILLE, S.C., September 24, 2002 â The National Basketball Development League has allocated two players to each of the eight teams that compose the league, it was announced today by Karl Hicks, Executive Director of the NBDL.
Asheville Altitude: Josh Pittman (SG-UNC-Asheville), Ervin Murray (PG-Wake Forest)
Columbus Riverdragons: Sean Peterson (PG-Georgia So.), Carl Mitchell (SF-N. Kentucky)
Fayetteville Patriots: Jamaal Young (PF-Johnson C. Smith), Kenyatta Brown (SG-E. Carolina)
Greenville Groove: Jamar McKnight (SG-Clemson), Greg Lewis (SF-Winthrop)
Huntsville Flight: Neil Ashby (SF-Chattanooga), Schea Cotton (SG-Alabama)
Mobile Revelers: Joe Marshall (G-Purdue), Kevin Crosby (SG-Life)
N. Charleston Lowgators: Jeff Bolton (SG-College of Charleston), Jamel Bradley (G-S. Carolina)
Roanoke Dazzle: Ryan Charles (C-Radford), SirValiant Brown (G-George Washington)
"We are excited about this first group of announced allocated players," said Hicks. "They are a talented group with ties to our local communities that allow them to make a difference close to home while pursuing their basketball dreams."
Each team will be allocated a total of four players. A maximum of 25 players will report to NBDL team training camps, which open Nov. 3 in the eight league cities. A minimum of one allocation player is guaranteed a spot on each team's final roster of 10 players.
