Jersey Express News Release

July 24th, 2008 - The Jersey Express are proud to announce that Jerry "Ice" Reynolds has accepted the position of Head Coach for the 2008-2009 season. Reynolds is a former NBA 1st round draft pick of the Milwaukee Bucks in 1985.

Affectionately known as "Ice", Reynolds played his college ball for LSU, before being drafted by the Bucks, and later played for the Seattle Supersonics and Orlando Magic. Jerry was a huge veteran influence in the locker room for then rookie Shaquille O'Neal, before he departed to play several seasons oversees. Having grown up in a basketball hotbed in Brownsville, Brooklyn, Reynolds knows talent, having played with and against some of the best players to come out of NY, and play in the NBA. Prior to joining the Jersey Express, Reynolds was an Assistant coach at Weber International College.

"We are extremely fortunate that Mr. Reynolds has accepted the position as Head Coach. With Jerry, and returning Assistant Head Coach Quaasim Austin, we're very confident that this will be our best season ever. There desire to win and be successful, both on and off the court will translate to the players" stated Marsha Blount, President.

"I had a chance to work with Coach Austin, Marsha, and some of the staff at the try-out. After working with them, I knew this was a good fit. I am so amped and ready to go. It's going to be an amazing ride" Coach Reynolds stated.
