NBA TV to Broadcast Showcase Games

GREENVILLE, S.C., January 11 - NBA TV will televise all six games from the NBDL Martin Luther King, Jr. Showcase on a tape delayed basis. In a break from the current format used to televise D-League games and analyze NBDL players, the games from the Showcase will be aired in the more conventional basketball game broadcast format.

The Showcase, scheduled for Sunday and Monday at the Columbus (Ga.) Civic Center, will feature every NBDL team in six games over two days. Game times each day are 11 a.m., 2 and 5 p.m. ET.

Following is the broadcast schedule for MLK Showcase games on NBA TV:

The NBDL offers players the opportunity to develop their talent in a highly competitive atmosphere under the NBA's umbrella. Thirty-one (31) players have been called up to the NBA on 42 separate occasions. Nine former NBDL coaches, five athletic trainers, 11 referees and 29 front office executives have also been called up since the start of the league's inaugural season in November 2001. Six additional front office executives have earned positions with other major league sports.
