NBA Jam Van Appearance Saturday at Tumblebeez

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., June 24, 2003 – The NBA Jam Van will make two appearances in the Tennessee Valley this weekend including Saturday (June 28) at Tumblebeez Gymnastics and Cheerleading (7495 Wall Triana Hwy., Madison) from 10 am to 3 pm and admission is free.

The Jam Van makes its first appearance Friday (June 27) at the Von Braun Center as part of the Alabama Sports Festival Opening Ceremonies from 1 to 9:30 p.m.

The NBA Jam Van offers fans of all ages an authentic NBA experience. NBA Jam Van features free basketball and interactive activities, including electronic games, displays and contests as well as a state-of-the-art video wall featuring the latest NBA action. One of the new videos is "NBA's Greatest Plays" Video Screen with touch-screen technology that allows the person to pick and watch the greatest NBA plays of all time.

In its eighth year, the NBA Jam Van is the mobile version of the NBA All-Star Jam Session – the league's popular fan event that attracts tens of thousands of fans during NBA All-Star festivities. Since its debut at the 1996 NBA All-Star Weekend in San Antonio, the NBA Jam Van has made more than 600 stops around North America and recorded more than eight million visitors.

Also at Tumblebeez, there will be inflatable games and rides courtesy of All Needz Rental as well as appearances by the D.A.R.E. officers, Redstone Federal Credit Union, McDonald's and the Monrovia Volunteer Fire Department.
