2011 NBA DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE SHOWCASE TIPS OFF MONDAY

The 2011 NBA Development League Showcase, the NBA's premier in-season basketball scouting event, tips off its 16-game schedule on Monday, Jan. 10, and runs through Thursday, Jan. 13, at the South Padre Island Convention Centre in South Padre Island, Texas. The seventh annual Showcase will feature all 16 NBA D-League teams playing two games each over a four-day schedule in front of professional scouts from all 30 NBA teams. Four games will be played on each day of the Showcase, with the Slam Dunk and Three-Point Contests immediately following play on Wednesday, Jan. 12. The Showcase begins at 12:00 p.m. ET on Jan. 10, and all 16 games can be seen live on TV or over the internet.

Walker Russell's game-high 22 points helped lead Fort Wayne to a victory over Sioux Falls. Marvin Phillips added 17 points for Fort Wayne, while Raymond Sykes led the Skyforce with 17 points.

Tweety Carter hit two free throws with 8.2 seconds to play in overtime, leading Tulsa to an overtime win over Texas. Elijah Millsap led the 66ers with 20 points, while Texas' Joe Alexander had 29 points and 10 rebounds.

Jeff Adrien had 31 points and 14 rebounds, leading Rio Grande Valley to a win over Austin. Carldell Johnson led the Toros with 29 points, while Aubrey Coleman had 27 points.

Antoine Walker's game-high 28 points led Idaho past New Mexico. Luke Jackson added 21 points for the Stampede. Dar Tucker led the Thunderbirds with 25 points, while Shane Edwards scored 19.

Brandon Costner scored 21 points, and Ronald Dupree added 18 points, to lead Utah to an overtime win over Reno. D.J. Strawberry led the Bighorns with 27 points, while Donald Sloan scored 24 for Reno.

Chris Lofton scored 44 points, setting a season-high for points scored in a single game by any league player, leading Iowa past Bakersfield. Othyus Jeffers added 27 points and 10 rebounds for the Energy. Jeremy Wise led Bakersfield with 27 points.

ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:

28 players with NBA D-League experience competed in eight NBA games last night, four as starters.

Milwaukee's Ersan Ilyasova had 22 points and 13 rebounds in a win over New Jersey.

New Jersey's Jordan Farmar had 10 points and 10 assists in a loss to Milwaukee.

Utah's C.J. Miles had 16 points in a win over Houston.
