PHOENIX'S GRIFFIN RE-ASSIGNED TO NBA D-LEAGUE AFFILIATE IOWA ENERGY
Phoenix Suns forward Taylor Griffin was re-assigned to the Iowa Energy, the Suns' NBA D-League affiliate. The re-assignment is the 36th time an NBA player has been assigned to an NBA D-League affiliate during the 2009-10 season and the third for Griffin. In two previous stints with the Energy this season, Griffin, 6-7, 238-pounds, averaged 9.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 28.9 minutes in 12 games (11 starts). He scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in a 94-82 victory over the Dakota Wizards on Dec. 11 in Iowa.
THUNDER ASSIGNS DJ WHITE TO TULSA 66ERS
Oklahoma City Thunder forward DJ White was re-assigned to the Tulsa 66ers, the Thunder's NBA D-League affiliate. The re-assignment is the 37th time an NBA player has been assigned to an NBA D-League affiliate during the 2009-10 NBA D-League season and the third for White.In two previous stints with the 66ers this season, White, 6-9, averaged 20.2 points, 11.1 rebounds, 1.4 blocks and 39.2 minutes in 10 games. He scored 27 points in a 100-88 victory over the Austin Toros on March 4 in Tulsa.

The Utah Flash (seventh seed) defeated the Iowa Energy (first seed) with a convincing 107-76 win Wednesday night in the first round of the D-league playoffs. The Flash were led by Brian Hamilton with 18 points and 12 rebounds while Orien Greene added 18 points of his own. Gabe Pruitt chipped in 15 points and Kevin Kruger added 16 Curtis Stinson flirted with a triple-double, finishing with 24 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists for Iowa. Connor Atchley notched a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds while Jeff Trepagnier added 14 points for the Energy.
ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:
39 players with NBA D-League experience competed in 12 NBA games last night, 12 as starters.
Anthony Tolliver started for Golden State and shot 13-19, en route to a career-high 34 points to go with eight rebounds. Reggie Williams, also a starter, added 12 points, six rebounds and five assists, while Chris Hunter chipped in 14 points and five rebounds for the Warriors.
Houston's Aaron Brooks finished with 28 points. Teammate Chuck Hayes added six points, with a game-high 18 rebounds, both as starters.
Earl Barron made his second start for New York and nearly finished with another double-double, scoring 15 points and nine rebounds. Bill Walker also added 15 points for the Knicks, to go with six rebounds.
Starting for Toronto, Sonny Weems scored 21 points, adding five rebounds and three assists.
