T-BIRDS ADD SASHA CUIC TO ROSTER
The Albuquerque Thunderbirds announced that Sasha Cuic has been added to the roster. The team waived Kevin Pittsnogle for personal reasons, which opened up a roster spot. Cuic, a 6-10 forward originally from Croatia, played three years at Oregon State University before returning to Europe to play professionally. In his final season at Oregon State, Cuic played in 29 games, averaging 11.6 points and 2.8 rebounds. He has played in 12 NBA Development League games this season with the Los Angeles D-Fenders, averaging 5.8 points and 2.0 rebounds per game.
TOROS ADD LUKE BONNER
The Toros announced that 7-1, 240 pound center Luke Bonner has been acquired from the available player pool. The Toros roster now stands at 11, including Spurs assigned player Malik Hairston. Bonner, 24, played collegiate ball at Massachusetts where he averaged 6.9 points and 5.4 rebounds in 23 games his senior year. Bonner was also named to the 2008-09 Atlantic 10 All- Academic Team. Most recently, he averaged 9.8 points and 3.8 rebounds in Hungary. Luke is the younger brother of San Antonio Spurs forward/center Matt Bonner.
VIPERS WAIVE RUSSELL CARTER
The NBA Development League Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced that they have waived guard Russell Carter. Acquired on February 8, Carter did not get into a game with the Vipers. In 15 games (four starts) with the Austin Toros, Carter averaged 5.9 points, 2.5 rebounds and 0.9 steals in 16.4 minutes. Carter, who had a season-high 19 points against the Vipers on November 28, last played for the Toros on January 8.
DAKOTA WIZARDS ACQUIRE CORY UNDERWOOD
The Dakota Wizards announced they have acquired forward Cory Underwood. The 6-10 forward/center has appeared in 11 NBA Development League games this season, splitting time between the Albuquerque Thunderbirds and Idaho Stampede.

Courtney Sims tallied 30 points and 12 rebounds, while Curtis Stinson added 16 points and 19 assists to lead Iowa over Los Angeles. Cartier Martin added 20 points for the Energy. Michael Fey led Los Angeles with 22 points, while James Wright chipped in with 18 points.
Seven players scored in double figures, led by 18 points from Rod Benson, to lead Reno over Fort Wayne. Rob Kurz had 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Mad Ants.
ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:
28 players with NBA D-League experience competed in 10 NBA games last night, eight as starters.
Shannon Brown started in place of the injured Kobe Bryant and scored 27 points for the Lakers in a win over Golden State.
Martell Webster started and scored 28 points for Portland in a win over the Clippers.
