AUSTIN'S POPS MENSAH-BONSU CALLED UP TO TORONTO RAPTORS
The Toronto Raptors announced that they have signed forward Pops Mensah-Bonus of the Austin Toros to a 10-day contract. The call to the NBA is the second of the season for Mensah-Bonsu, who becomes the 13th GATORADE Call-Up of the 2008-09 NBA Development League season.
IOWA'S DEMETRIS NICHOLS CALLED UP TO NEW YORK KNICKS
The New York Knicks announced that they have signed Demetris Nichols to a 10-day contract. Nichols becomes the 14th player to earn a GATORADE Call-Up during the 2008-09 season and the 132nd overall since the league began play in 2001.
DENVER'S WEEMS RE-ASSIGNED TO NBA D-LEAGUE AFFILIATE COLORADO 14ERS
The Denver Nuggets have re-assigned rookie Sonny Weems to the team's NBA Development League affiliate Colorado 14ers. Weems' is the 27th assignment of the 2008-09 season.
LOS ANGELES' SUN YUE ASSIGNED TO NBA D-LEAGUE AFFILIATE LOS ANGELES D-FENDERS
The Los Angeles Lakers today assigned Sun Yue to the team's NBA Development League affiliate Los Angeles D-Fenders. Sun is the 28th assignment of the 2008-09 season and the first from the Lakers to the D-Fenders this season.
GILL, BROWN RETURN TO 14ERS
The Colorado 14ers announced that point guard Eddie Gill and forward Jamar Brown have returned to the team. They join the active roster after Billy Thomas was released for personal reasons, and Lamar Butler was released from the team.

FRIDAY NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS...top performers from Friday's games
On assignment from the Los Angeles Lakers, rookie guard Sun Yue hit his first jumper 14 seconds into the game. Yue finished the game with 11 points, seven assists, three rebounds and two blocks. Gabriel Hughes scored all 19 points and seven of his team-high nine rebounds in the second half. Joe Crawford also chipped in with 19 points to pace the D-Fenders. Brandon Heath finished the night with 16 points.
Cedrick Bozeman led all scorers with 24, while Kedrick Brown poured in 22 and 14 rebounds. Arsenal center Marcus Campbell finished with a double-double, pulling down 18 rebounds to go with 17 points. Ray Reed came off the bench to lead all reserves with 16 points.
Tony Bethel had his strongest game in a BayHawks uniform, knocking down a game-high 32 points including a couple of crucial jumpers late in the game. Both Maureece Rice (24 points, 12 rebounds) and Erik Daniels (20 points, 11 rebounds) had double-doubles in the win.
Frank Williams and Kasib Powell led the scoring for the Skyforce, marking 23 and 22 points respectively. Six players finish in double figures.
Ronald Dupree and Dontell Jefferson scored 19 points apiece to lead the Utah Flash to a 102-94 victory over Albuquerque. Jefferson added nine assists while Dupree collected 11 rebounds to record his fifth double-double of the season. He finished three assists shy of his first triple-double. Bennet Davis chipped in 15 for Utah, followed by James Lang with 12. Carlos Wheeler and Kevin Kruger had 11 points each.
Jasper Johnson scored 19 points and had 11 rebounds to lead Albuquerque. Keith McLeod and Will Conroy contributed 18 points each for the Thunderbirds. Antonio Meeking scored 13 and had nine rebounds, while Antoine Agudio added 12.
