SUNDAY NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS...top performers from Sunday's games
With a game-high of 30 points, Thunderbirds' forward Jasper Johnson was just one rebound shy of his twelfth double-double. Forward David Noel finished with 21 points and grabbed 16 boards. Will Conroy added 22 points and eight assists from.
Jeff Trepagnier led Bakersfield with 22 points. Nick Lewis followed with 21 points and nine rebounds. Derrick Byars added 20.
Ron Howard led all Fort Wayne scorers with 28 points. Walker Russell scored 26 and dished out 11 assists notching a double-double. Taj McCullough scored 26 and Chris Hunter scored 25 for Fort Wayne in the winning effort.
Trent Strickland scored 28 of his career high 31 points in the first half. Jared Jordan recorded a double-double, his fifth of the season as he scored 10 points and dished out 14 assists. Jawad Williams scored 15 of his 22 points in the second half while hauling in seven rebounds. Ernest Scott and Marcus Hubbard each chipped in with 16 points off the bench.
The Bighorns were led by guard Russell Robinson with 25 points as Reno featured seven players in double digits. Patrick Ewing Jr. added 19 points and 14 rebounds.
Joe Crawford led all scorers with 32 and Los Angeles guard Brandon Heath added 26 points.
ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:
23 players with D-League experience competed in eight NBA games last night, five as starters.
Starting for Phoenix, Matt Barnes finished with 26 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.
As a starter for Houston, Aaron Brooks notched a double-double, scoring 22 points and dishing 10 assists.
Golden State's Kelenna Azubuike scored 13 points as a starter for the Warriors.
