FOUR MORE: The D-League awarded expansion teams to four cities for the 2006-07 season on Thursday. The teams, all previously associated with the CBA, are the Dakota Wizards (N.D.), Idaho Stampede (Boise), Colorado 14ers (Broomfield) and the Sioux Falls Skyforce (S.D.)
FIVE WITH JAM: Thursday's announcement of four new teams gives the D-League five new markets heading into the 2006-07 season. The Bakersfield Jam joined the league on February 14, 2006.
DAZZLE AND T-BIRDS IN: Fort Worth and Albuquerque wins on Thursday guaranteed Roanoke and the Thunderbirds a spot in the D-League postseason.
SEASON OVER: The loss to Albuquerque on Thursday eliminated Arkansas from the postseason.
WHAT IF ALBUQUERQUE WINS TONIGHT? The T-Birds would be the No. 2 seed and host a semi-final playoff game.
SUPPOSE THE T-BIRDS LOSE? If they do and Roanoke wins at Fayetteville, the Dazzle would be the No. 2 seed and Albuquerque No. 3.
WHAT ABOUT THE FLAME AND TOROS? If Florida wins on Saturday the Flame is in. If Florida loses on Saturday, then Austin would win a tie breaker and be the #4 seed.
IME IS 17: The New York Knicks signed Fort Worth guard/forward Ime Udoka to a contract for the remainder of the season on Thursday, making him the 17th GATORADE Call-Up of 2005-06. A first team All-D-League selection, Udoka also won the Jason Collier Sportsmanship Award.
10 MORE: The Atlanta Hawks signed Roanoke Dazzle guard Anthony Grundy to a second 10-day contract on Thursday.
