WELCOME BACK: Forward Marcus Fizer returned to Austin with guns blazing Tuesday, scoring a team-record 44 points and grabbing 10 rebounds to lead the Toros in snapping an eight-game losing skid. Fizer had been playing out a 10-day contract with the Seattle SuperSonics.

THEY SAID IT: "If anybody on this team says they didn't miss Marcus, they can't be telling the truth." ... Austin head coach Dennis Johnson said of Marcus Fizer's Tuesday performance.

ELIMINATION GAME? Tulsa's victory over Fayetteville on Tuesday will make it tough for the Patriots to ride a late-season surge into the postseason. With 14 wins and seven remaining games, even if the Patriots win out, the most possible victories are 21. Fort Worth, Arkansas and Roanoke all have 22 wins. Florida, Austin and Albuquerque all have 21. The Flame would earn the final spot ahead of Fayetteville due to head-to-head record (7-4). Fayetteville and Albuquerque meet for the first time this season on Saturday. Fayetteville leads the season series with Austin 3-1.

D-LEAGUE & DAZZLE CARES: It's a busy day in the Valley of the Star for the Roanoke Dazzle. Players Kevin Owens, Malik Moore, Seth Doliboa and Isiah Victor will visit Boys & Girls Clubs at Glenvar Elementary School and Northside Middle School to talk about making good decisions, while Bryant Matthews and D'or Fischer will greet blood donors at the local Red Cross.
