TIGHT AT THE TOP: Fort Worth is currently in the league's top spot, but plays at Florida today. The Flame is one game back. Austin is one-half game back and hosts Tulsa. An Austin victory coupled with a Florida win will make the Toros the third team to hold first place this week, one-half game ahead of both the Flyers and Flame.
WHO'S HOT? The Austin Toros have won seven straight and eight of 10. Fort Worth is a riding a four-game winning streak and has won 11 of their last 13 games. Roanoke has won four straight.
SIMMERING: The Arkansas RimRockers are on a modest two-game win streak heading for a three-game set at Albuquerque that begins Thursday.
WHO'S NOT? Fayetteville has lost five in a row and nine of its last 10 games.
MATEEN MOJO: Since returning to Fayetteville from a pair of 10-day contracts with Seattle, guard Mateen Cleaves is averaging 25.5 points and has converted 20-of-31 FGA in two games.
WELCOME BACK: The Denver Nuggets re-assigned guard Julius Hodge to the Austin Toros on Saturday. In five games with the Toros, Hodge is averaging 24.4 minutes, 15.2 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists.
D-LEAGUE CARES: The Austin Toros are hosting Special Olympics basketball teams from Pflugerville and Round Rock, Texas for an abbreviated game at halftime of today's game at the Austin Convention Center.
