ROOKIE-SOPH CONNECTION: Former D-League referee Tony Brown was on the three-man crew that officiated the T-Mobile Rookie Challenge on Friday as part of NBA All-Star weekend in Houston. Brown is one of 14 referees that have earned a promotion to the NBA since the D-League began play in November 2001.
WHO'S HOT? Florida has won five of its last seven games to remain atop the standings. Flame guard Bracey Wright is averaging 24.0 points over his last three games.
WHO ELSE IS HOT? Austin has won four straight and five of the last six games. Toros forward Marcus Fizer is averaging 20.8 points and 7.3 rebounds over the last 10 games.
WHO'S NOT? Fayetteville has lost nine of its last 11.
PATRIOT MISSILES: Fayetteville has the league's top two shooters from three-point range. Kevin "Butta" Johnson leads the league, shooting .500 (11-22). Kaniel Dickens is second at .459 (17-37).
POSTPONEMENT: The Florida at Roanoke game scheduled for Friday at the Roanoke Civic Center was postponed due to team travel problems related to weather. It will be rescheduled for a date later this season.
