JAMMIN' IN BAKERSFIELD: The NBA announced on Tuesday that the Bakersfield Jam will begin play in the D-League in 2006-07. The Jam will play its home games at Rabobank Arena in downtown Bakersfield, Calif.
THEY SAID IT: "We are delighted to welcome our newest ownership group to the NBA Development League during what will be an important period of expansion. Stan Ellis, Steve Chase, Tet Yamashita and David Higdon, who combine business and marketing skills with basketball experience, will be a vital part of the D-League's growth."...NBA Commissioner David Stern announcing D-League expansion to Bakersfield, Calif.
