
Arkansas Acquires Campbell, League Suspends Walsh

GREENVILLE, S.C., February 15 - The Arkansas RimRockers have acquired post player Marcus Campbell from the NBA Development League available player pool. In a related move, the league suspended RimRockers guard Matt Walsh indefinitely.
Campbell, a 7-footer from Mississippi State, helped lead the Bulldogs to four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances and a Southeastern Conference title in 2003-04. He started 28 games as a senior in 2004-05, averaging 6.0 points and 5.0 rebounds and finished his career with 87 career blocked shots, seventh all-time at MSU.
Campbell averaged a team-leading 17.5 points, 12.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game in helping lead the SCORE International College All-Stars to a 4-0 record during the club's August 2004 Goodwill Tour of the Dominican Republic. He capped the tour with a 28-point, 15-rebound effort versus the Dominican National Team.
