FOR THE RECORD: Fayetteville's 136 points against Roanoke on Sunday is a new D-League single-game record for points. The previous record was 132, set twice by Huntsville (now Albuquerque), against Asheville (now Tulsa) on March 20, 2004 and against Florida on March 24, 2005.
TWO SHORT FOR TANDEM: Fayetteville and Roanoke's combined 258 points in Sunday's game was two short of the single-game record for points in a game, two teams combined. Huntsville (132) and Florida (128) combined for 260 on March 24, 2005. In six games this season, the Dazzle and Patriots have averaged a combined 235.5 points.
JUST CALL HIM MARTY: The Cleveland Cavaliers assigned Martynas Andriuskevicius to the Arkansas RimRockers on Sunday, making him the 18th NBA to NBA D-League assignment this season and the third to the RimRockers. Atlanta's Donta Smith is still on the Arkansas roster. Toronto's Pape Sow has been recalled to the Raptors.
WHAT'S THEIR STATUS? Ten (10) NBA-assigned players are currently active in the D-League. Seven have been recalled to their NBA team and one was waived by his NBA team.
GATORADE FOR MELVIN: The San Antonio Spurs signed Fayetteville Patriots guard Melvin Sanders on Sunday, making him the fifth GATORADE Call-Up of the 2005-06 NBA Development League season, the third in the last 12 days and the 55th overall since November 2001. Others this season include John Lucas III from Tulsa to the Rockets (twice), Kaniel Dickens from Fayetteville to the Clippers and Chuck Hayes from Albuquerque to the Rockets.
T-BIRD TAG TEAM: Albuquerque's Ken Johnson and Marcus Douthit have combined to convert 26 of their last 34 field goal attempts (.765).
